her marriage cert will give her age and her dads name & occupation,providing this was known, You would be best to start there and then work backwards so as to keep on the right tree |

You have a choice of Mary Alice Martins (although there are many more plain Mary Martins!!) born in Co Durham - if she was born in the county she married in....... |
