My mum Brenda Mavis Arkwell married James Pope, I would like information on their marriage please. And if possible on their daughter Lorraine Pope.As far as I know they were married in Birmingham, and if i'm correct they were divorced 8 years later.

This looks very much like his birth ref .
But to be sure of his age and fathers name you will need to get his marriage cert.

December quarter means
The year is divided into quarters for the purpose of registering births,deaths and marriages.
They married in the fourth quarter , eg december quarter..

Divorces I dont know much about
[ONLY MY OWN}
But I think that you may be able to find out if you put a message on the "records board"asking how to find out,someone will no doubt know.
