Hi Jacqueline, Thanks for the offer to help! I was wondering if you could kindly look up the 1911 census Sydney Herbert Pitt b. 1881 and his wife Florie Pitt b. 1876 who were living in the Brentford area. (both were born in Acton, Middlesex.) I see them noted on G.R.'s 1911, but as I don't have access to the actual household details, I am really interested in knowing if they had any children as they were married in 1906 in Acton.

If you can help that would be fantastic!

Best wishes,

Jilly

Hi Lianne,

The best thing is to send for a copy of the marriage certificate from gro.gov.uk which will confirm his father's name and occupation and we can track back from there with more certainty

Hi Jacqueline,
Please could you look for a marriage between George Johnson and Mary Hall around about 1898? Not sure if they were in Co. Durham or Bolton.
Thanks Denise.

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 11 Jan 2011 16:01

Hi Denise,

Nothing in either Bolton or Durham for that name pairing between 1890-1900

HI

I am trying to find my ancestor on the 1881, 1891 & 1901 census her name was Emma Litchfield (nee Herring) and she lived in Heanor, although i believe that she was born at Lowdham.

I am unsure when she married, and i am unable to find her myself.

She was born in 1853 and her fathers name was Daniel Herring.

I hope you can help
