Hi Jackie , Many thanks for your help however this Alice was born 1882 at Sibton I checked free BMD and the 2 Alices were born a couple of months appart .Both 1901 + 1911 show place of birth of Alice Brown as Sibton.
I will keep looking , a common name so not easy .Thanks Tony.

Thanks for finding this STEVENS family-now confirmed as not mine.
I am looking for William STEVENS b c 1829 who would only be in 1841 census (came to AUS before 1849). He was son of Richard.

Hi Im stuck, George Brown born Parkend Bream c1878 married mary jane reynolds 1900.Georges Father recorded as joseph brown. would like to get birth certificate so i can prove his mother and check census and find out more, and go back some more.

Hi Jackie wonder if you could help me again please.
Looking for anything you can find on my g g grandparents.
i have julia Hutchence (in 1881 census a servant in house in Bath) born aprox 1853 in either bath or hereford? she married james bates in aprox 1882 in abergavenny(?) they had a son called George in 1883.and i can find nothing more either before 1881 or after their marriage.....

Hi Jeanette,

It would probably be a good idea to get a copy of the marriage certificate from gro.gov.uk as this will give both father's names and occupations and make it easier to go back correctly
