Hello Janey thanks for your offer. Yes I see what you mean about Connection?.
The 2 that I have are my Aunt Elsie N. Jaques b1896 West Ham and
George E. Burdick b 1900 Kingston
Wed in Lewisham sept 1/4 1925
I do have 2 sons b 1930 and 1931. [ my cousins] and marriages for them from B.M.D. and children. so my request was really for some one who actually has a CONNECTION. to tis family. I will get the marriage certificate then I can see if all is correct.
Regards Brenda

Hi Brenda.
On the index they are shown as George E Burdick and Elsie N Jaques. Reg in Lewisham. vol 1d page 2536.
Copy of the marriage certificate should give their ages and their Father's names and occupations, along with witnesses who may be siblings.

Birth of Elsie Nellie Jaques 1904 Jan/March Qtr. reg in Fulham. vol 1a 211

Birth of George Edward Burdick 1900 Jan/March Qtr. reg in Kingston. Surrey vol 2a 335.

1901 census
William Burdick. 26. Born St Anne.Soho. Liv.Sth Wimbledon
Agnes L 27 1874 Born St Martin.London
Frederick. 4. 1897 Born Marylebone
Winifred. 3. 1898 Born St James.London
George 2. 1899 Born Wimbledon.
Charles ).Born Wimbledon.

to get family of Elsie you need copy of the birth certificate as there seems to be quite a few Jaques. Hope this helps. Ethel.

Your hopes are likely doomed. ;)

But somebody might be able to help dig up some rellies for you.

Are you looking for their descendants? Descendants of Elsie's sibs maybe?

"Connection" is such a vague word, and I just never have any idea what it means!

You know who the two Burdick-Jaques children were? They could be living, so I won't put their details from the GRO index here.

Go ahead, ask us anything! ;)
