Now now, Peter, don't be getting all serious here.

We're talking about someone who treated us like morons; we don't need somebody replicating the act!

Or -- were you on purpose? ;)

I know Claude Monet (note spelling) had an older brother named Leon - where did a younger one come from?

You got 'im, Ann o' GG. ;)

Don't know whether you followed it all after you were so thoroughly dissed, and then it got consigned to the dustbin by its not well pleased author, but I can send you the whole thing if you like. PM me an email address 'cause if I have one, I don't know where it is!

Just having a look-see

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 4 Sep 2009 01:25

I'm thinking this could be the householder:

Marriages Jun 1881
Mowbray Alexander Camberwell 1d 1087

The "B" in his surname in the census doesn't look like a B, it looks like an M: Moway.
(See the B and M, 2 and 3 lines above on the census image.)

in case anyone is looking somewhere other than Ancestry where it might be easier to read.

I can't read the surname for either person! Except that I doubt that either one is what Ancestry says. ;)

It's not so much that the image is bad - I've tried both enhanced and unenhanced - it's more that the handwriting is illegible. I'm usually pretty good at it, but that has me stumped.
