Most of them you can see the actual entry so you have a copy of the marriage certificate.
I just put in the surname and father's name and have found some more certificates of my family members + copies of certificates that I paid £7 for which are now free to view. Irene

I could not believe seeing this last night on Ancestry - found a marriage I have been looking for for years and there it was and a copy of the marriage entry. Did not realize these banns and marriages had been added to their records on the 14th September. Irene.
