If you have the correct marriage certificate you will have his father's name, which should tally with the birth certificate. What makes you feel that it might not be his birth certificate?

Where do i start researching my Fathers tree when all we have is his birth certificate, which we're not sure is his. His marraige certificate which we know is his and his death certificate.
He was a very private man and didn't talk about his early life.
