well I have had a dig around and I can't find one William Bell in Leicester for 1820!!!

There's not much point doing that Jane, perhaps you should have a look at other people's threads to see how to ask for help/

There are lots of tips for beginners on the tips board.

The ladies who help on here, do it for free, and don't appear to be asking you anything differently from other threads.

You need name, date and place , not just the county, and relatives information to pinpoint the right person. Especially when there may be 20 William Bells in the same town.

Have a little think and then start a new thread with as much as you know about him.
