just to add 1891 cenus for jarow states sara 7 but she was 17 and granny was born just after the 1891 was taken so not on list, hope this helps

thank you all for getting back so soon..... the liddell terrace info for 1901 census is accurate, and it does look like that his birth year must have been different, will do another check shortly to see what info i do have already.

Where did that Margaret Jones aged 18 in 1901 on your lot spring from Ozi?shouldnt that be Sarah?
And where is Margaret born 1891?

I think Marguerita must have made an error with his dob, as he'd be a bit young in 1880. Not impossible, but unlikely.

Are the witnesses any of his family on his marriage cert?

Without the marriage cert I think its pretty much a lost cause !

I really wish you luck here cos that's what you are going to need with a Welsh John Jones - I live in Cardiff and I know that if I look in the telephone directory there will be pages of them - the census has shed loads of them - sorry to be a doom merchant, but that's the wy it is

Looking for any help or info regarding my great-grandfathers family. he was born john 1865 in cardiff ,wales and married elizabeth chambers born in 1867 they lived together in jarrow and had 3 daughters, Sally(sarah) margaret (my granny born 1891) and lily.
I have no info on his side at all and would dearly love to track the welsh side of my family. although hubby is on 4 day week and at moment unable to fund
