Hi Janey Sorry for any confusion , perhaps i can clarify yhat info which i know. My grandfather was charles henry green b 1875 ( i still have not managed to locate his birth cert) his wife annie b 1875.I have them on the 1911 census living at hanwell , on that census there is no Jack listed. There is however a charles shown . Family hearsay tells me that the son Jack married a lady called Brittania , it was this couple that was supposed to have had a son called Clifford. I was wondering whether this Charles could in fact be Jack. I hope this helps, Roberta

Roberta, you know all this stuff that you are not telling the people who are trying to help.

"jack was born 1905- 1910 , he was my grandfather 's child."

Who was your grandfather? Name, date of birth, wife's (wives') name(s) ...

If we know that, we might find Jack in the 1911 census with his parents and get some solid information about him.

Or was he not the son of your grandfather's marriage? If so, might he have had a different surname from your grandfather? Was your grandfather a Green?

"I beleive they had a son called clifford."

Who did? Jack Green and Britannia? Or your grandparents?

You have all the time and space in the world - if you'll just lay out the details, someone may be able to help!

Roberta,

do you have the death certificate for your Britannia?

If so who was the informant?

" he was my grandfather 's child. I beleive they had a son called clifford."

I read it as Clifford was the son of the grandparents.

Would Jack have been that much younger than her??

If you explain why you are searching for them -- i.e. you do know something about them -- it could help find info. Do you have a child's name, parents, siblings ...?
