how can it show his D.O.B as 1878 if he was married in that year?

Have you found the family on any censuses?

Was William with them?


The census should show his year of birth +/2 years, and his birth place.


If you ahve found a census, will you please post the information on here.

he had 2 sons (john 1885, william 1892) and 2 daughters (maud 1882, amelia 1890). He was married to Sarah Horton who was born 1855.

How would i trace the maritime records for a William Ward, when unfortunately i know nothing about the man except for the fact he was at sea during the 1901 census.

any info would be appreciated . Thank you in advance
