Probably Unett St. These are all within a mile of each other. Can't make out the other road, but looking at nearby streets it's off New Town Row, also nearby. (Amazing these all still exist!)

so it looks as though it is down to the marriage certificate

1911 address does not match - thought of that, but a good point!

57 Princip st. Only 1 mile from Moorsom St. though, and half a mile from Gt Hampon St..

what was/were the address for the Hayes in 1891, 1901 and 1911?

Does that match the address she gave on the death certificate.


If you get the 1903 marriage certificate, it will tell you the address where they were living ........ does that match the address on the death certificate?

Quite agree about the 1903 marriage. I'd be so tempted to get that marriage cert ...

So Samuel was in the Gun business as well....was he a work colleague of Henry Sheppard.......?

Wouldn`t take too much notice of 1911 entry for years married...people lied to make themselves look respectable

My Grt grandfather stated he`d been married 44 years in 1911.....he actually married in 1875, {I have the cert. } there were 5 children before they married , eldest child was 42 in 1911......

The 1886 marriage wouldn't match the 1911 couple in that they say they were married for 35 years. Doesn't match 1903 marriage either mind! The 1911 Samuel Hayes is a provision dealer.

Have just trawled through all the 65 homes in Grt Hampton street in 1901....there is no one with the surname Sheppard of any spelling.....
