Liz,
How disappointing......hopefully one day he might appear on the 1891.
So frustrating.

Best Wishes

Oh thanks Marion, but I've searched everywhere, even Scotland in 1891 lol ,it's just that GR threw up a Robert Smallwood Lister in 1891 census, that started me on his trail again, got some GR credits but it not him, don't know where GR got the Smallwood from unless it just picked up the Robert Lister bit.

Do you ever hear from Roz?

Hi Vera

The Robert (Smallwood) Lister as per GR in 1891 census, wasn't him.
He wasn't even listed in the census as Robert Smallwood Lister, so back to square one.

Thanks everyone for your help, apart from his birth and 1891 census I have everything else on Robert so I think this thread is now complete. :))

I'm sorry Flick, I wasn't aware that I ignored Glitter Baby's post and I'm sorry I missed yours, it wasn't intended, if you hadn't deleted I would have got round to answering.

Hi Glitter Baby,

There was another Robert Lister born in Cumberland, same year with Father Thomas, but that's not him.

Thanks for the help

Thanks again

Not sure why you are ignoring the 1891 posted by Glitterbabe

Perhaps her posting is as invisble as mine was - I deleted it, by the way

Liz,
I wonder if either on GR or Ancestry there has been a mistransciption.

No problem Vera, I do have most of the info. on him, apart from who his real parents were. he and his family moved to Scotland after 1901

Can you tell me if it's worth while buying credits from GR for the census?

As I said, I can't find him in 1891 census on either FMP or Ancestry yet GR have thrown him up in a search for 1891

1 exact match for Robert Smallwood Lister in the 1891 Census
Lister Robert 1875 Reading St Giles, Reading
