Thank Pete, nothing like a fella to bring us back down to earth and get all serious again. I feel suitable chastised.
Thank you so much for the 1871 Census. Well the name change seems a bit strange. It has changed 3 times in 30 years. So dont know quite what to think. Have managed to find marriages for the children, but not for the parents. The children have anglicised their names by the 1901 census, and have married into families who were born here, so the Prussian connection seems to have petered out. Thank you for all your help it is most appreciated.
