Just discovered my gt.gt.gt uncle born and bred in London married a young lady called Evelina Teschelert. She appears not to have been born within in the surrounding area to dear old unc, but lived in Soho. I am surmising she and her family were immigrants who settled within Soho, working. Do any of you wise old birds out there have any idea what sort of trade prospered in Soho, and where this surname may have originated. I have hazard a guess on Germany, or maybe Austria. Any further ideas on how I may be able to trace this family would be greatly appreciated. I hope to hear from someone with any ideas. Best wishes.
