Hi Ginny
Well I think I have got them sorted, but I would never have done it without your help. I just need to make a visit to the City ark in strood kent and then I am finished. I am now trying to trace what happened to their children ( My grandmother's) nephews and nieces after 1911

I will put it on Success stories with a cross to surname information as I think it could help others. We did it all by using the web and I did not have to buy a certificate in the end

Thanks again Anne

Well I thought I had come to the end

But........
Fanny Pointer married William Plum registered dec qtr 1895 at Milton Kent Vol No 2a Page 1782.
William died age about 82 in 1952 Registered in Chatham Vol 5b page 282
The 1901 census gives him as born Birdbrook Essex in 1870 which corresponds with age at death.

I can't find registration of this birth.

To confuse matters there are two families with the father Deniel from Birdbrook the other went to live in London in Tottenham. Both had wives Hannah and Meanna (similar) & sons William but their ages don't match. Confusing!!

Could one of these be the birth reg?

The 1871 details are probably the same one and problems deciphering the page number.

Births Mar 1870 (>99%)
PLUMB William Risbridge 4a 459

Births Mar 1871 (>99%)
PLUMB William Risbridge 4a 418
