Could I order a marriage cert with only their names ??
and a general range of year ?

Didn't find them David but I did find others thank you

No I wish they had emigrated!
They had 3 surviving children in limerick (kilmallock) between the years 1864 and 1874
I can account for their living children and everything that comes after them.
Mary was still living with one of her children in the 1911 census. In Knocklong Limerick.
It's driving me crazy not being able to find them. I have tried every variation of name I can think of and still no good !
Thanks for the help David

I'm afraid this one's got me stumped. Maybe you could send off for their marriage certificate - that would tell you their parents' names:

You don't have all the details, so just put down what you know and see what happens. You could try for a birth certificate but I'm not sure when they started.

This website is quite useful:

http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml

although I just had a quick look and couldn't find either. Did they marry in 1835 or is that when they were born?

I should say that I know they stayed in Limerick Ireland. Kilmallock registration district.
I think he died in 1900 and her in 1912

I have been using the family search site to try and find two people who were married. Although I am beginning to believe they never existed!

I am looking for a Denis Duhig and a Mary Treacy. 1835

I have searched for them on the pilot search (as individuals)
The IGI search
The advanced search
I have tried to find them by themselves. Also by doing a parent search as I know some of their 8 children (5 diseased by 1911 census)
I have searched every where I can find and I can't find them. Although she exists on the 1911 census and she did register the death of one of their children.
Could someone please explain the limitations of this site I know they are still indexing a lot.
But they have no projects ongoing in Ireland , Does that mean Ireland is complete?
Can anyone suggest where else I can look ?
Thanks in advance Lesley
