We are trying to find the common Brewer family link between Clifford Vernon Brewer b 1899 in Poplar, London and Tammar Brewer b abt 1864 who married David Lungley. We know there is a common family connection as Clifford Brewer's family have a post card collection that was passed down from Emma the wife of George Lungley. Can any one find the missing link please? Thanks George

This Could be the connection Tamar was the daughter of William Brewer bap 21/1/1810 Little Hadham to John and Sarah John and sarah had another son Thomas bap 3/3/1822 Little Hadham who could be the Thomas davis Brewer, whose son Henry James was father to Clifford Vernon Brewer. But Thomas Davis is proving elusive Ihave his marriage to Thirza Brown in 1852 but he is not with Thirza in 1871 or 1861 (when she is with her mother Sarah Brown in Plymouth) I would guess he was at sea,

Thanks all of you, Can you see why I'm having a problem!
We have a Brewer tree and a separate one for the Lungley's, but so far I have not found one common link from Tamar down to Clifford Vernon Brewer. I just go round in circles.
Yes West Ham is our Brewer area. The Custom House area where Emma & George Lungley lived is not far away on the map. As the old postcards, belonging to the Lungley's, end up being passed down to our Brewer's we know there is a family connection between them.
My mother-in-law, who is the daughter of Clifford Vernon Brewer, still maintains that the connection is through her mother's McGiff family, in spite of the Tamar Brewer marriage to Lungley (so that makes it worse! She thinks she is right - can it be possible?)
Meanwhile, I'm going to print off what you have so far found, so I can study it again when my head clears! At this rate I think I might be joining my ancestors sooner than I thought, due to a brain hemorrhage, and it's not even my family!
Thanks girls (& any Guys?) Brain-dead pensioner George (son-in-law still, just)

Yes Alviegal, it's right family ok. Well done! Clifford Vernon Brewer married Annie Mary McGiff. Parents of Annie were Alfred William McGiff (Credit Draper) + Catherine Sarah Andrews (are those the 'parents' you asked about?) Clifford's parents were: Henry James Brewer+Rose Louise Marie Pilcher. Both Clifford & Annie had siblings too, if you need those too? I Found my records on Ancestry. Got Brewer family back to Thomas Davis Brewer+Thirza Brown (also got father of TDB & parents of Thirza too) Does this help? Thanks George hanging on in there by a thread (this one)
