Sorry to hear that Janet - but you are here now.

Yes, you had lots of uncles and aunts and you would have had more but sadly many didn't survive.

They did in fact have a total of 14 children (not counting any who may have been born after 1911 census ??). By that time 8 of them had died and only 6 survived.

He could have been born 1905 and be 32 on marriage if he hadn't had his birthday that year but of couse ages on marriage certs are not always correct.

There is a birth reg in Coventry 1904 but he could have been born anywhere.

Births Jun 1904 (>99%)
Rowley Alfred George Coventry 6d 551

When did he die?

Christine

My father was definitely Alfred George age 32 when he married so that makes him born in 1906. Unless he fibbed about his age because my mother was only 18 yrs.lol
Thank you Jan

We REALLY need the father's details, Janet.

You seem to have a choice of 3:

Alfred, William, or Alfred Henry - If it is any of those this can be easily solved.

Have to go out for a while - will check back later.

The only Alfred George in 1911 is from Lambeth London. and the Lancashire Alfred/Fred are Salford or Oldham, so not much use.
There is a George born 1907 in Foulridge, in 1911 census, which looks more promising?
