I am assuming that you are Janet Rowley of Nelson, Lancashire. There is only one birth for Nelson, and only one marriage to an Alfred George Rowley, but not in Lancashire:
Alfred G Rowley Spouse Surname: Tarplee Date of Registration: Apr-May-Jun 1938 Registration district: Coventry Registration county (inferred): Warwickshire Volume Number: 6d Page Number: 2203
Armistina R Tarplee Rowley Apr-May-Jun 1938 Coventry Warwickshire
If this is completely wrong can you say so, thanks.
(This is probably wrong as there is an Armistina in genes, but not belonging to a Janet)

Could you tell us your mother's maiden name, so we can try and find the marriage?
Thanks

your own birth cert will give your mums maiden name .if you dont know it already, then you can look for their marriage cert which will give his age and hopefully his dads name. You would be best to start with your cert

HI Patricia, both really because I have nothing but a few photos. I really don't know for certain where he was born or even if he had any siblings. On my mothers side there are connection in the Midlands and with the north of England, unfortunately my mother and father split up many years ago and none of her family knew my father ..for what ever reason..
Thank you .

Are you trying to find people who knew him, or do you want help in finding his parents, grandparents, etc?
Thank-you
