COULD ANYBODY DO A SCOTTISH CENSUS LOOK UP FOR ME.

I now have James' and Catherine's wedding cert. details as foll.

They married in Oct 1863 in Liverpool.

James Richardson occupation Mariner,his fathers name John Richardson occupation Shoe Maker.

Catherine Mc DOWALL , fathers name James Mc Dowall his occupation farmer.

Witness to the marriage: Jane McDowall, this could be Catherine's sister

James was born 1841 and Catherine born 1836 both Wigtown sometimes they have Scotland down. on the census as their birth place.

I don't think Catherine & James married in Scotland as nothing coming up on scotlandspeople so far.

Its just that on different census my ancestors have their bith place down as sometimes WIGTON and other times SCOTLAND>

Can I just point out that Wigton is Cumberland - the Scottish place name is Wigtown - may help when searching

Is anybody able to do a scottish look up for me.
