i have since found out that Ernest Arthur Barrett b 1872 could have been killed in action in 1916

I hope so, the only thing that's bugging me is name of father as it's defo Edward Arthur on the baptism image, but then there's no Edward Arthur in the census ( that I can find anyway! )

There doesn't appear to be a birth for just a Caroline Barrett in Paddington for the right year

so far the info i have on ethel is from the few family members that will talk to me , i have not been able to get cert as yet as i dont get out very often , yes ethel died in 1979 in southend, but died as a marshall , we think there was a sib called harold but have no birth year,

There doesn't seem to be any family in paddington with Ethel on the 1911 that I can see.

Also looked under BarrAtt there's a family in Camberwell but not with parents Edward Arthur and Ellen??
