Find Ancestors

My mum said she remembers my granny and her sisters did have to send their birth and marriage certificates to a solicitors in New Zealand to prove who they were when he died, she doesn't know the name of the solicitors. My mum seems to think he lived in Auckland and thae worked his way there on the boats.

A timely nudge.

No one knows anything much about him. He was my grandmothers brother and my mum told me the little bit of info I have on him but she doesn't know anything else. It's so frustrating.

Presumably the money from the Will was dealt with by a solicitor.
Has any of the family any paperwork...or remember if they had to visit a UK solicitor to finalise things?

I know he died before 2005 but other than that........................ NOTHING.

Choccy, thank you. Nobody knows where he went when he left, he's a mystery.
My mum only knows he died in New Zealand.

The UK address for William Keenan who sailed on the 26th April 1954 was -

I checked scotlandspeople and there are only 2 William Keenan born in Hamilton/Lanarkshire between 1900 and 1920. One is in 1915 and the other in 1916.

My grandmothers brother, William Keenan born 28-10-1916 Quarter,Hamilton, Lanarkshire. Scotland was in the Forces and when he came out he lived with his parents George and Mary but he couldn't settle, he went for a newspaper one day and never came back. He ended up in New Zealand (Sheep farming) and we think that's where he died, he couldn't have married as he left his money to his sisters.

Is there any way I can find anything about him since he left Scotland?
I would appreciate any help with this please.
