Hi Emma,
Francis Johnstone (born Lochmaben c1782) married Janet Allison (born c1786) at Lochmaben 23/10/1807. I believe his father was John Johnstone and his wife could be Helen Young or Margaret Creighton, or possibly both if he was twice married. I would be grateful if you could find the answer for me.
Thanks Ian.

Hi Emma
I would be so grateful for any info on the marriage of Margaret Ann Bruce to James Sinclair in Burray, Orkney. She had an illegitimate child in 1914 in Burray so marriage would be after that time. Any info on this lady would be appreciated.
Thanks
Molly

Hi Emma,
I am sure you have created a massive workload with you offering help and I am sure everyone appreciates it immensely.
I am in Ballarat, Victoria and chasing ancestors Carrington Billings (unusual Christian name) and Eunice Millets born somewhere around 1800 give or take 10 years. Carrington was born in Manchester England I believe but my ancestors migrated to Australia in 1948 (Geelong). Their son William was born in 1934. They appear to have sailed from Scotland so I presume they relocated from their birth place of England. Eunice may have been born in Scotland I am not sure.
If you have the time would certainly appreciate any help. Been working on this tree for 20 years plus, and I just keep hitting a brick wall

Many thanks

Dean,
It's ok. Glad to help someone out. I've decided i've hit so many brick walls with my family tree that i'm going to give it a break for a couple of weeks to see if a set of fresh eyes can pick anything out that I've been missing for the past year or so.

Thanks emma. I Must have searched about 30 or 40 John smiths and as they were showpeople they are hard to track down. Funny thing is that date was on my next shortlist. Now i will be able to find his grave as he does not lie with his wife. Thanks again :-) Dean

Barbara,

Sure it's no problem. I've looked at all the Agnes Carruther's deaths in the Dumfries area and nothing has showed anything even slightly hopeful

Sorry
