Hi Susan - not sure about Alice, not sure of a definate name unfortunately.

Hi Julie, not sure with Beatrice Mabel as she would have had her dad's name and not Minnie's (avery)

Thanks

Flick

Flick Report 20 May 2010 11:50

That birth looks very likely - born before Minnie's 1908 marriage

Julie

Julie Report 20 May 2010 11:48

If that is Minnies marriage and looking along the lines that they swapped their names round.......how about this birth for Mabel

Births Sep 1906 (>99%)
Avery Beatrice Mabel Brighton 2b 205

Hi Julie

Spooky - I am helping my daughters boyfriend with his tree at the moment and his name is Avery - they have some knowledge of children, etc and so far have managed to get back to his Great Great Great Grandad

Thanks

Flick

Flick Report 20 May 2010 11:43

That's not what my posting showed - there is no other Mewett recorded in the household.

However, further research brings up this - so your conclusion is not erroneous

FRANCIS FLORENCE F 1886 25 Brighton Sussex
FRANCIS FLORENCE F 1909 2 Brighton Sussex
FRANCIS RICHARD M 1878 33 Brighton Sussex

Middy

Middy Report 20 May 2010 11:42

Hi Flick - so was it definately Mr Mewett that she married then and presume that Mabel was their daughter?

Many Thanks

Julie

Hi Julie that is looking good for them

Middy

Middy Report 20 May 2010 11:34

Hi

It could be I am not entirely sure - some of the census confirm Naomi as only Naomi and then on another one it confirms it as Naomi Ann but a birth shows it to be Naomi Mary Anne, also the name Hubert comes into it from relatives memories which I presume is Bert but again cannot find a birth using either name

Middy

Middy Report 20 May 2010 11:27

Hi

Yes those are them on the 1901 and 1911 census - but cannot find their actual births - also I have found a marriage for Minnie but not sure whether the marriage is to Herbert William Mewett or Richard George Francis?

Middy Report 20 May 2010 11:13

Hi just wondered if anyone would mind helping me look for some relatives - the mum and dad are George Avery and Mary Ann Akehurst who had 11 children (in Brighton), I have found ten of them:

Naomi Mary Ann - born 1875 Brighton
Caroline Fanny - born 1877 Brighton
Alfred - born 1882 Brighton
Minnie Avery - born 1886 Brighton

However I can't find the others:

George Thomas
Albert
Jane
Willie
John
Bert

There is still 1 other child I cannot find and do not have a name

Any help would be great
