Ooh thanks for that Christine. I will take a look. Frederick is someone we have struggled with for a while. The family were split up at a fairly young age but all the other brothers and sister stayed in touch and I am fairly well up on their families/whereabouts.
Thanks again
Vanessa

Have just looked at the census and think it certainly could be him. There is a marriage in Eccleshall Bierslow in Sept 1901 which might also fit but I can't see the wife's details . Can anyone help? Cheers

Thanks for your interest Julie.
I haven't done much research recently and am feeling a bit rusty. Having laid out this money for 1911 I am making a concerted effort to put a few more pieces in the jigsaw.

Best wishes
Vanessa

I have just upgraded and now have access to 1911. I have found a mystery niece living with my gg uncle and his wife in Warwick.

The details are Emily Mundy aged 3 , listed as niece to Thomas Mundy. Emily was born in Rotherham .

I looked on free bmd and found a birth that correlates.

The mystery is that if she was born a Mundy and is niece to Thomas then I cannot place her. Thomas Mundy had 3 brothers. I can account for all their children except those of the eldest brother Frederick Mundy who possibly went to Canada ( not fully confirmed but possible match on passenger lists ) . He is last picked up on a census in 1891 working on the railways in Leeds.

Any thoughts or help gratefully received.
