I got much further than I expected with a Jones , will have to start adding them all and finding out if any of them ever had any kids. I have an old photo of Mary , she looks a formidable woman, I wouldn't argue with her anyway haha

Jan I think your Jones' are from Shoreditch, with parents from North Wales.

The baptisms we found for your Jones' belong to your ancestors, the "other" Jones' were obviously just trying to keep up with your Jones' and moved to the area around 1842 as their youngest was born Birmingham........... so don't worry luck was on our side and the "other" Jones' haven't got mixed up with your gang.


Who would have beleived it though 2 Evan Jones in a similar area with wives of the same name and they have the same occupation...

where did you find that record with the marriage address on please ?

There are lots of baptisms from Evan/Jane marriage on Ancestry London Archives now that I have had a look.

This will give me some work to do later but I am pretty confident due to the similarity of the name, the address, the occupation the witness on the marriage cert beinf Winifred that I have the corrcet family.
