Alice Bridget passed away at age 59 and on her birth and deat cert whe was recorded as a Johnson. A conclusion i thought as to why she had Hemson on Kenneth's birth cert was maybe she was ashamed to have kids from a married man,being Herbert Hemson(if you see my other threads on this man)!!

Hi,no Alice Bridget never married and besides Thelma she had 4 other kids. Clement Henry Johnson bn 1905,Kenneth Alfred Gilbert Johnson bn 1908,Marjorie Lillian Johnson bn 1916 and Herbert George Johnson bn 1922. Hi All, I am trying to find info on a family member called Peter Alfred Johnson. I have little details on birth and death, but the only info I have is that he had 13 kids one of them being my great great grandma who was born in 1883 in QUEENSTOWN SA so im guessing he could be born around 1860's?? His partner was Mary Ann O Halloran born 03/08/1863. I do not know if he married her. If anyone could find any info for me it would be greatly appreciated!! Thank

If the Charles and Mary HEINSON/HEMSON on the 1851 census are the same deaths found in South Australia (below )....then this could "possibly" be Henry George HEMSON's parents.
This would mean Henry George HEMSON was born in the U.K ( Not S.A ) unless of course someone can find this birth ...7/03/1842 Kapunda S.A? ( Kapunda S.A was founded in 1842 )

By the by - Robert did you find Henry George's birth in 1842?

I am a bit confused - Thelma May Johnson was Herbert's first wife, yet she was born in 1911? And he had a 2nd wife Emily with whom he had children prior to that date???

I thought Thelma was Herbert's daughter, not his wife?

Herbert Hemson, 22 years of age, of Queenstown, was admitted to the Port Adelaide Casualty Hospital on Monday evening in a state of unconsciousness. He had been engaged in the construction of the new
wharf for the E. E., A., and C. Telegraph Company at Port Adelaide, and whilst pile driving was struck on the head with a block pulley,. which fell from a crane. He is now progressing satisfactorily.

The Advertiser, Tuesday 15 August 1911
HEMSON.-On the 12th August, at Spring-street. Queenstown, Allan Albert, the beloved child of Albert and Annie Hemson, aged 5 months.

I note it says youngest daughter - did the other 2 girls die young?

Sorry, but cannot say where you might find his nationality.

U.K ( England ) records ( I.G.I ) "INTERNATIONAL GENEALOGICAL INDEX" show that there is a surname HEMSON...( Over 240 references to this surname from various counties)

It would be worthwhile to purchase at least the marriage cert.......HEMSON to HILLIER, as this should show where he was born.
