Sylvia
I also have the Sue Dawes One Name Study, and this is where the discrepancy is! A member who is a direct decendant of his Dinah says alot of us (Rampton line) have got it wrong, that his Dinah Blunden was born bap and died N Waltham. But mine seems to have never left Monk Sherborne..

ah yes

One Name Studies

There was a One Name Study on my fahter's name

I discovered after the events below that it was led by my second cousin, grandson of Dad's eldest brother

He had my brother as my father, married to my mother, they had no son but I was listed as their daughter. My father disappeared somewhere after his birth being noted

The owner of the study refused to have any dialogue with me, even after I had sent $30 (ca £15) worth of International Money Coupons to pay for the airmail cost of a letter. Thus refusing to acknowledge there was any problem.

6 long months later, the Registrar of the ONG removed my second cousin's privileges, revoked his membership in ONG, and removed the tree from their web site

Unfortunately, a cd had been made about 1999 and circulated to all members of a group devoted to research on the name ............. and is still being circulated with the incorrect information. This is actually how I found out about it .... someone passed on a "pirated" copy of the cd in 2006

Any future cd that may be produced probably will be correct .................. but possibly only if one person living in the US is involved. She has promised me that the information will be corrected.

Victoria ............ . sorry, I missed the fact that you had posted that. That record doesn't show fathers though does it?

the only way, i believe, to clarify the data is to look at the original entries of the 2 marriages in the parish registers and hope there is more info, like father's names, witnesses etc

so Looking for someone with access to HAMPSHIRE parish records for Monk Sherborne and North Waltham to get clariifcation of.....

1. Dinah Blunden marriage to William Wigmore 2 Mar 1788 North Waltham
2. Dinah Blunden baptism 8 Jul 1759 North Waltham f. John m. Rebecca
3. Dinah Blunden marriage to Christopher Rampton 18 Jul 1785 Monk Sherborne
4. Dinah Blunden baptism in Monk Sherborne around 1760
5. Baptisms of children of Dinah and Christpher Rampton in Monk Sherborne
