Hi Karlina

I have just heard back from my brother. The family he knows is spelt
O'Dea so may not be connected to yours( although different branches of the same family did sometimes end up with different spellings). If you think they are in the right area for your family, you could try the phone book for Scotts Creek. I would prefer not to give direct contact details, as they had had a serious illness in the family last I heard.

Sorry not to able to be more helpful!

Hi Karlina

My brother is in touch with an ODay family in Scotts Creek near Adelaide - they are connected to our family through William Rowe Hill, the founder of that town. I am not sure of the spelling though - I have only heard the name spoken. I will email him and find out. May be a few days before I get back to you.

It would help if you could add the word 'Australia' to your heading - this will catch the eye of members who have access to Australian records.

Hi there could someone please help me Im trying to find anyone who may be searching for the same people as me or who are from the same family line as me,as Im having such a hard time finding any information on this family past my great grandfather. The name is Thomas Day born in 1883 in NSW Australia however his birth is not recorded he married twice firstly to a Caroline Troth (who was married first to a James Buckman) they had two daughters together then Thomas went on to marry a Mary Andrews. Thomas Days parents are from Ireland or Wales and his parents names are James Richard ODay brn 1857 and Elizabeth Kershaw brn 1853. James ODay dropped the O from ODay when he came out to Australia. Though it is possible the name may have been first originally been spelt ODea but thats as far as I have been able to get. Please can anyone help me?
or if anyone is on the same family Line as Caroline troth known as Gussie brn 1875 Glenfell NSW Australia.
Regards
Karlina
