Hello Moody Blue, yes this is the marriage, Robert Burt was my husbands uncle, his mums brother, the confusion is, that it is Coats for the marriage & birth, so I know the mums name was Hayter, so maybe the spelling of Coates is down to the person who filled in the cert.

Could this possibly be her marriage in London?

There is no marriage to fit the birth - it's entirely possible that the mother had been married before - there was a War on.

You really do need the birth cert...................
