Hello Fanny
Sorry I haven't replied, but haven't been on site.
Thanks for the information about quartermasters.
Could you tell me what site to find the information, as I not sure where it would be.

Have tried looking at Aldershot, maybe I was looking in the wrong area. I'll try National archives may find something there.

Flick Report 26 Jun 2010 09:29

Quartermaster is a military term (responsible for food, clothing and equipment)..........hence my suggestion that you check military births - especially as Aldershot is a Garrison town.

The name Sinclair suggests a Scottish connection somewhere along the line..........

Than you Flick,I was about to say that...:)

Veronica.
It is much easier to try and help if the info is in front of us to be looked at for reference.

So his name was Henry on death and Harry on marriage.
Thank you Flick for adding the death.

Unusual to have parents names on death cert in England

Veronica

Veronica Report 25 Jun 2010 22:59

It is right I have the death certificate

Veronica

Veronica Report 25 Jun 2010 22:57

Thank you for the information which I have. Albert age is a mystery because he was 32 a widower when he married Olive. When he died in 1907 his age was 49 which means he could have been born around 1858. Also I don't know if he had any siblings.
Still trying to find out where his parent Thomas and Jenny were born and died.

Veronica

Veronica Report 25 Jun 2010 22:46

Hi once again thanks, but I have the all the information on Albert as Harry Sinclair is my grandfather. Its getting past him and onto Thomas and wife Jenny.

I thnk you're going to continue to have problems, Veronica - Albert seems to have had an over-active imagination

Where did he die?

Not in England/Wales, if parents' names were on death cert

Veronica

Veronica Report 25 Jun 2010 22:36

Thats just what I feel, it is a mystery. Just wondering if you have any ideas where I could look for information. I am still learning the ropes.
