"I am trying to find out information on my biological father Antonio Jimenez (spelling change to Jiminez in error when he arrived in England) What I know is he was born in jimena de la frontera, spain in 1913 and was the youngest of 14 children. We believe his mothers maiden name was roman and she originally came from Tangier,Morocco. He married in London in 1947 and had a son Stewart (my half brother who I am now in contact with) . He then went on to have myself in 1950 with an audrey hawthorn and then another son Antonio jiminez in 1952 (who we would also like to find out about)"

we sent off for the death certificate and it states the person as male so we are sure this was my father.

On the death certificate it states
:

Name & Surname of informant: Ann ******
Qualification: Niece

We find it quite weird that is says qualification and then niece.. do you know if this is where they normally put it if the person is related to them?

My mother birth certificate is recorded as carmen jiminez born 11/09/1950.. It is on here.. Antonio jnr was last known off in England in his late teens.. He lived with Antonio snr and his mother.. But we don't know how ling for.

Kate, you had a thread about this family -- which I recalled because I worked on it -- and now you have started a new one. All that does is confuse matters.

If you click on "My threads" on the left you can find any threads she or you have posted in using her account.

Kate, your mother's birth just wasn't registered as Carmen Jiminez that I can find.

In the previous thread I had found Antonio Sr's death record, 1991 in Westminster.

I don't know about anybody else but I am just not following this.

Did Antonio and his wife -- Ada Nobel, Audrey Hawthorn ... -- live together with the children? How long has it been since Antonio Jr was last known of?

My mum carmen was born a jiminez in 1950.

There are two Audrey J Hawthorn births: 1922 Poplar and 1927 Birkenhead.

We should assume the Poplar one? She probably married 1949 in Harlow, Essex - ? There was a birth to that marriage registered in the first quarter of 1952. Antonio Jr's marriage was registered in the fourth quarter of 1952.

But how does an Ada Nobel 1913 come into this?? Is the DOB taken from the age on the 1958 marriage certificate?

Probably not all relevant, it just is very confusing.

Was Antonio not raised by his mother/parents? i.e. if he was adopted, could he have a different name?

No we have got all the records for the parents, I just added their info incase you needed it to narrow it down.

I did write about his mother in another thread and got rtold to delete and ask in this one. are there any marriage, or offspring for audrey j hawthorn?

There are at least 8 marriages slight difference in spelling of name though

no there are a lot more than 8 spelt jemenez or jimenez

We dont truly know.. we think she wanted to cover her tracks and kept alias' as she obviously had something to hide.. she did the same with my mothers birth certificate, put her name as Audrey Jiminez even though he was married to somebody else.

Have you managed to find any info on Antonio Jnr.

so why did'nt she put her maiden name on the birth cert?

edit - only the father being Jiminez should have been on the cert or was'nt he mentioned

This is the thing, it is very complex, we believe his mother ''ada'' was really Audrey Hawthorn.. on his birth certificate she named herself as ada jiminez even though she did not marry antonio senior until 1957.

Antonio 1913 and Ada are his parents, I'm hoping to find more about Antonio born 1952 as we would love to track him down as he is my mums brother.

He may have gone to Spain but I dont know how to track this!?
