Hi Rambling Rose
Saw the post from Sylann about 1851 Census for Mancheseter being water damaged. What a shame. Would you be able to see if you can find a death for Peter Burns born 1817 Ireland, Sarah his wife is listed as Widow on the 1871 Census but I can't find a death for him, there are two deaths in 1860 but as he was on the 1861 Census they can't be him. Is it possible not only the Census for 1851 were damaged but some BMD's as well?
Thanks Chris

Sheena you can order the marriage cert online, very easy to do , at

www.gro.gov.uk/

it will cost £9.25

these are the details you will need (from http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ )

FITZPATRICK Mary London City 1c 248
ISAACS John London City 1c 248

ok ty anyways how do i do that

Rambling

Rambling Report 6 Jul 2010 21:11

Sheena i was hoping the marriage would be in the London records (but unfortunately it isn't ), for John's father's name and occupation, which would perhaps confirm one of the possibles on 1841 census .

I think you will have to purchase the marriage cert for that.

Sandra lot of Beevis born between 1901 and 1911 , I think best bet is to ask for a 1911 look up for Lilian

Births Mar 1909 (>99%)

BEEVIS Lilian Valentine Maidstone 2a 875

then the parents will be with hopefully , to work back from.
