I can't view the household and there are too many appearing on a free search to find the family. It's always best to search with Christian name only if you are having problems finding people as I think Isaid on a previous thread. Christine

Member Since: March 2006 Posts: 5,276 Send Message	Hi Barbara, I used the official 1911 site http://www.1911census.co.uk/ Ancestry for the other years. One of the problems with GR is that they are not as flexible with the search options, I had forgotten that you had to use a surname. Christine

I am now looking for the marriage of William Trotter b 1823 Spittal Northumberland and Jane Shell b1822/23 Holy Island.. Its driving me mad as it has to be somewhere. Their eldest son William was born on the island in Feb. 1848. Can you help

Member Since: May 2007 Posts: 56 Send Message	I had found the 1851 plus all the other census up to 1911. Its just so frustrating not to find the marriage as it would tell me who Jane's father was as I have two possible's and whether William's father was alive which would then give me the correct Sarah as his mother.
