Find Ancestors

I had found the 1851 plus all the other census up to 1911. Its just so frustrating not to find the marriage as it would tell me who Jane's father was as I have two possible's and whether William's father was alive which would then give me the correct Sarah as his mother.

Thanks Christine I have found them now. I am now looking for the marriage of William Trotter b 1823 Spittal Northumberland and Jane Shell b1822/23 Holy Island.. Its driving me mad as it has to be somewhere. Their eldest son William was born on the island in Feb. 1848. Can you help

One of the problems with GR is that they are not as flexible with the search options, I had forgotten that you had to use a surname.

This looks like a possible as I had found a birth for a Jane Martha Grieves in 1894 and as Isabella's mother was Jane Martha Trotter I now feel this is them.

Can't see them in 1901 or 1911.

Any sign of Isabella Trotter b 1873 Gateshead who married William (Sidney) Grieves in 1893 in Newcastle. Cannot find her on the 1901 or 1911

That will not be proven till I get the 1921 but will I be here then I'll be 79 then

I thought the Margaret or less likely the Margery as Emily's mother's name was Margaret!

Just looked on BDM June qtr.1911 if they were still in Newcastle there was a Margery, Margaret and a Vera D. I think Vera as possibly the D was for Darling which was the grandmother maiden name Thanks for youe help

You would have to buy this marriage certificate to be sure that it is your Annie - unless of course you KNOW that she married David Allen.
