not far probably a couple of miles between westminister and tower hamlets

i know in 1881 he was a waiter at 10 compton st paddington london down as married and was visited by mary ann forrester and her two children

This is just a guess as it's the only death in that area between 1871 and 1891. Would give a birth as c1836, possibly a bit old for him.
