Hi just found James George Colby marriage to Alice Peck in 1892, she was Francis' sister.

So as far as i can see, Louisa falls pregnant in 1898 and is sent away to ipswich to have the child, the father being Francis who was born in the same area as Louisa. Louisa goes to london to work and we have yet to find Francis in 1901. They marry in 1902 and emigrate with Bertie in 1907. somewhere between 1907 and 1911 Louisa dies and Francis remarries.

Thank you Richard for all your help on this one, I love unravelling their life stories. It seems sad that after arriving in Canada for a new life that Louisa is no longer alive after 1911.I shall continue to chase all avenues with regards to her and her son Bertie. One again you have really helped me,Rebecca.

The census doesn't give the section # - the 6m x 6m township block is abt 30 m NE of Edmonton.
The N Saskatchewan R runs thru it and Redwater is in the block immediately to the north.

Redwater Sec. 20, Twp. 57, R. 21, W4M - 1909-12-15
