Ah, good for him.

He's probably having a read and a chuckle to himself before replying on here.

No nothing unkind, I just would hate to put Desmond off from using the boards.

Hopefully he'll see the funny side to it..... fingers crossed.

Desmond has opened the PM that I sent to him.

I included advice on how to get back to his thread together with how best to ask for help in the future.

He has sent me a thank you by return PM.

Could be new to using the boards though.

I don't think we've been unkind.
Just tried to lighten the mood so to speak.

I'm feeling a little guilty now, poor Desmond will wonder what on earth we are all up to.

Sorry Desmond.

Michael sweetie...thank you for thinking of me but I usually give 'em till the next day to return. Very generous of me I know, but I do like to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I will just go and check that he is not in my contacts list as having had a message from me in the past!

Who's going to send Desmond a PM telling him how to return to his thread ?

Cynthia, are you there ?

Jonesey

Jonesey Report 5 Aug 2010 21:05

Desmond,

If you do get back to this thread all the marriages that have been found for you were found at www.freebmd.org.uk It is a free site available to all. If you spot the name of the person who you are looking for go to the site and select "Marriage" and then enter the name, year and select Warwickshire as the county and then press "Find". The list that will come up should include the marriage that you think may be the one that you are looking for. If you then click on the number that is shown a new page will appear which will indicate possible marriage partners. If the marriage was before 1911 then it could be any one of the other names who could have married your Mawby. If the marriage was after 1910 then the list will indicate the surname of the person who your Mawby married.
