Hi as my Arthur Cleghorn Wight parents were James Wight and Eliza Yates I would think that we are probably looking at the correct Catherine and Michael, but still the question is how do we tie them to my tree.

I have asked probate to look for 'wills' for great great grandfather Alexander McNaughton and his wife Nancy to see if they mention their wish to go in the grave with xxxxxxx in law perhaps?

Or I should also say is Catherine Arthur's sister so she would be Catherine Wight marrying the Colonel James Stuart as a contact suggested as you all came up with some interesting name variations on marriages yesterday.

Annie Johanna Stuart McNaughton is my great grandmother and I have all her details along with marriages and parents.

My great great grandmother is Nancy Stuart born 1820 in Jamaica, this is who I think the link is with Arthur Cleghorn Wight, I think Catherine Stewart on the grave documents is possibly Nancy's sister, I cannot think why else Catherine and my great great grandfather would purchase the grave with Arthur dying first.

Thank you for the details of Catherine on the 2 census, she gives her address as Clifton Bristol on the purchase of the grave so that ties in very nicely.

I do not know the name 'Nutting'

So as you don't think I have just jumped ship, I am due at the docs in an hour so please bar with me.

Jonesey had pointed out that the Probate Records were now on Ancestry so I had a look for Arthur Cleghorn Wight and it states;

"The confirmation on the Commissariot of Edinburgh dated 22nd July 1888 of Mrs Ann Johanna Stuart Mcnaughton or Haydon Bennett ( Wife of George Haydon Bennett) of 8 Tavistock Crescent Westbourne Park London as executrix nominate of Major-General Arthur Cleghorn Wight sometimes residing at Pitlochry and thereafter in Edinburgh who died in London 24th Dec 1879"
