Ua Murchadha. Domhnall .33 Male Boarder Roman Catholic.

Lodging next door at No 3 are Agnes ,Teresa and Margaret

Christine...The info.re McCurtain St.was only to alert you if you needed to use it for a point of reference..
Are you saying you cannot find York Street or you cant find "Murphy" living on York Street ?
Is it the Irish Census you are refering to when you say you have looked on the Irish web site...because there definately is a Donal/Dominic Murphy lodging at No.5.

ok but im looking for york st how does the renaming of McCurtain st effect that ive been on the irish web site but no luck thanks chris

Christine...You will not find McCurtain St. on the Census...You need to be looking at King St. (re-named McCurtain St).

thats the place so it was McCurtain st thanks for looking ill follow it up got my grandaughter to day so im resticted at pres regards chris

I put York Street, Cork in google - one of the first sites had a property to let at 5 York Street, Cork! and another stated York Street is off McCurtain Street, Cork City Centre.

Try looking on the Irish census site (free) for 1901 and 1911 -

helena is my grandma and james muphy is my great grandad so it does not show his age as the father of the bride on the marrage cert sorry if ive confused you chris

ive just found out from my 85yr old aunt that my great grandad lived in cork Ireland his name is james murphy and on my grandmas marrage cert says hes an oversea at a picture palace the cert is dated 1915.The address my aunt gave me was 5 york st off curtain st cork my grandma was 23 in 1915 if that helps her first name was helena.My aunt thinks there could have been children called kathline ,madge ,micheal ,monica , and peter my grandma helena siblings ,madge hads twins she thinks thnaks again chris
