I am searching for my great grandmothers family. Her parents names were Richard and Eliza Patrick. On the 1881 census Georgena M Roberts is 14 and shown as the daughter, I cannot read her middle name - if anyone can decipher it I would be grateful |

If this is the one you are talking about it is a male child George Harry Charles J and the surname is Bennet! |

Mel - as I noted above, the link to the image is to the wrong page. The right household is on the next page. She is Daur, unm, 14, no occupation, born California Kingswinford. |

The Patrick-Roberts marriage certificate is the only sure way to get Eliza's birth surname Lynne -- as long as she reported it correctly. ;) |

Aren't you lot good! It went thru my mind as to whether Elizabeth had dallied before she met Richard and he had been good enough to make an honest woman of her! The only information I had was that Gt Grans sisters had tragically died. One had fallen into a well and another had got severly burned by a bonfire. So apart from that and the fact she made the best porridge I know nothing about her - so thank you yet again. |
