What was the name of Francis's father?

If you get the cert for the marriage I posted, you will be able to find out if the father's details match those of "your" Francis

Lillian Report 5 Sep 2010 11:25

AHH so its not the George you are querying but the spelling of the surname HutchinGs,

The only way you would know if its him would be to ger the cert which should name his father,
Bedwellty in wales though is a long way from Lewisham in South East London.

Will take a look at the 1911 census to see If can spot them

Lillian

Lillian Report 5 Sep 2010 11:21

birth date 15th March 1886. Dylwyn Road, Sydenham, London. He was married to my mother in July 34 1934 after having 4 children with her. His first wife had deserted him and they had to wait 7 years for it to become legal for them to marry

so probably not your Francis marriage especially as the surname has an additional g in it.
Did he have children by the first wife ? if so their birth cert/s would tell you her name

There wasn't a census in 1908...........who is Martha Rose Prosser?

Which document do you have for 1908 with the details you have given?

And PLEASE....tell us WHERE these people were living...............

patchem Report 5 Sep 2010 11:18

Does the G refer to Hutchins/Hutchings?
(Names can be incorrectly recorded)
Thanks

Lillian

Lillian Report 5 Sep 2010 11:17

.a rose prosser was the bride of a Francis George Hutchings in 1908 marriages, but he had no G in his name. That had disappeared since his gt. grandfathers time.

why not start again with his birth and come forward from there, If you have found a marriage but say he wasnt Francis GEORGE then maybe you are putting the wrong interpretaion on that being a marriage for your Francis

Lillian

Lillian Report 5 Sep 2010 11:14

from a census Martha Rose Prosser from 1908 census. The G was actually left out of my father and his father name so may not be right. thank you so much for your patience
