Well, if all this intrigue is correct then maybe he went back to being George Ernest instead of Ernest George - would there be a death for that name??

So it would appear that the birth Shirley found earlier ( Ref : 5b 317) will be your Ernest George born 1878.

And just very dismissive ongoing...and no acknowledgement for what people have found so far

You must know that....people give info, sometimes based on 'family hearsay'

We know as 'seasoned ‘amateur researchers that what you hear......

................is almost, always........NOT the truth!

Leigh asked for information, saying please - since then people have offered information and possible leads and it has been discussed intelligently. As in verbal discussions sometimes reactions are a bit abrupt. Some of us come on here just because we don't know the search sites available - I had never heard of Free BMD when I first got stuck!

I do know that Emily Vivyan eventually had another son Harry Reynolds so whether she remarried or not I do not know. I thought she was a widow but that seems dubious now.

I see you have started another thread about these people.

Really best to keep all info on same thread to save research being duplicated.

OK - new to all this I am afraid. However I have found the Ernest George seems to have gone to France - soemeone else found some info Ancestry and he has a WW1 medal card but no service record so perhaps he went to France an died there hence no death here!!!!!!!!!!
