You said someone was called Anna, as you can see I then went looking around for Anna/Anna variations.

Having changed it to now read 'Hannah' its looks as though I was looking for the wrong thing, and that hadn't read/understood your request properly.

So, please dont change original message, the fact that her name was Hannah had evolved and anyone reading through would have taken that on board.

There are two Hannah Hunters in Birkenhead in 1911, one appears to have a bother called Valentine, my guess, given that she gave her son that name.......

At a guess, Hannahs father was called John Archibald Hunter, her mother was Hannah

his full name as far as we know is john evan gill. although on his marriage certificate it says evan john gill. That is why we are confused! we are trying combinations of..plain john, john evan and evan john. his brothers and sisters always called him " our evan".. but his wife, family and friends, knew him as john (to make it more confusing, also nicknamed Jack, as lots of johns were in the old days!) thanks for your time and trouble...doreen
