Almost certainly the marriage for Charles snr & Nora??

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bailey Charles St George S 1d 215
Greenwood John St George S 1d 215
Ryan Mary St George S 1d 215
Tierney Nora St George S 1d 215

and possible birth for James, eldest child on 1881 census:

Births Sep 1865 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bailey James Stockport 8a 37
Bailey James Wolverhampton 6b 537
Bailey James Chorlton 8c 495
Bailey James Warrington 8c 113
Bailey James Manchester 8d 320
Bailey James Axbridge 5c 612
Bailey James Bolton 8c 293
Bailey James Keynsham 5c 721
Bailey James Stoke T. 6b 219
>>> Bailey James Charles St. Geo. S. 1d 134
Bailey James William Oldham 8d 502

As you can imagine there are lots of James Baileys but using the common area found this one - by no means conclusive

Can anyone help me here I am looking for earlier census to determine more info of charles 1880 and his father approx 1860's. I have nothing unique to consider only that they lived in the Peckham, Camberwell area for many years. I do not know the name of charles senior's wife's maiden name or christian name.
I need to find Charles 1880 birth certificate but cannot locate charles 1880 birth details as I have no other information to consider.
They appear to have used just charles bailey with no middle name (both of them).
Charles 1880 and Ellen Taylor married in 1900 so the 1901 census should show just the two of them as a couple if they lived in their own home but I am hoping that they would be living with the family, this would then include his father Charles and charles 1880 together with his siblings.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
thanks ruth

HI jax not sure how relevant this infor is as it does not seem familiar to me. When my father in law was born the profession charles was under taken was labourer but when frank and annie got married he was a plumber. This might help.

Hi Julie,

Yes this is the marriage that I picked up on ancestry.com which sound likely.

Hi I think these dob seem around the time I am searching so it is possible that they could be our family. I have given one of your colleagues the names and estimated dob. So you can see that information.

My husband informs me that charles and ellen lived in london all their lives and that is where they were married and so were their children in the peckham area. He mentioned burdon bush road and 64 leo street pops up on my father in laws birth certificate. The children however, moved into the surrey area Woking, knaphill and still live there. Hope this helps.
