MOst of that is correct. The parents were fron YOrkshire. mary was ? born in Scunthorpe. The other brothers and sisters were

These are all in Lincolnshire.The 1911 said two children had died Alexander was one and I thought it was likelly she had had children between Mary and Edith and this child had died. It is now looking like it was Mary who died.

Thank you all for trying I will just have to keep on looking. Perhaps she died and they just used the name Mary. One day I will find out.

The 1911 census for James and Alice Gray said two children had died. I knew one was Alexander so Mary must have been the other one.

There is a Mary and George Stainton living together and probably his parents are with them on the 1911 census.

Please can you look Mildred and William wood stainton up on the 1901 and see if they are George William staintons parents. Mildred an William were born about 1848. I do not have acess to the census.

Thanks very much for finding my family on the 1901. I dont know where she was then. Edith Edwards Gray is a mistake She did have a sister called Edith b 1896.
As for that marriage in Louth that could be her. I will go and check the 1911 census and see what that says.

The nearest I can find is Mary Ethal rushfirth b 1892

If she was born 1896 wouldn't she have been too young to be married by 1911?

Have you found her family in 1911, possibly she could have been away from home in service.
