If the record was on a Parish register, it was not a birth.......it was a baptism

Ruth

Ruth Report 2 Dec 2010 22:37

It is alexander's grand daughter who went to Cheetham parish church to look at births and she found Alex and Bella but she thought she had Edward but says in her message to me that it was very difficult to read the records.

I know, sorry was just saying where he was. I don't know when he died.I can only find 2 death records for that name.

Flick

Flick Report 2 Dec 2010 22:33

I think whoever gave you your 'info' is very confused.....the coincidence of EDWARD marrying MARY GUNN must illustrate that ..............

Flick

Flick Report 2 Dec 2010 22:32

The marriage cert will tell you his declared age...and the name and occupation of his father.

I can't see him on any census

Ruth

Ruth Report 2 Dec 2010 22:30

yes thats the wedding. I don't know when he died but know he is here:
Manchester, Lancashire, England
Southern Cemetery, IRoman Catholic, Grave 849

He is there with Rose, Rose's sister Florence and Rose's mother who was also called Rose.

Ruth

Ruth Report 2 Dec 2010 22:27

I found her details, I have her birth and death.
It was spelt McKenny, a typo error on the register. We found it spelt correctly in the parish register of births and deaths

Flick

Ruth

Ruth Report 2 Dec 2010 22:22

Alexander McKenna married Rose Smith in1919
19 Sep in Chorlton.
He is buried with her in Southern Cemetary, Manchester.

He had 2 children, Reg and another that is still alive.

Flick Report 2 Dec 2010 22:19

Right...start with what you KNOW.............don't rely on anything anyone tells you unless they can provide documents to back it up

Who did Alexander marry? Where.....and when?

Ruth

Ruth Report 2 Dec 2010 22:18

She said Edwards father was called John.
I wonder if she's got them mixed up, John and Edward I mean.

Ruth

Ruth Report 2 Dec 2010 22:17
