William also appeared with Mary Ann & John on the 1891 census, 26 still single, posted earlier. The occupation would tie in with the 1911 info Choccy
has posted.

Was there any probate records for Mary Ann, I think she may have died 1920 registered Camberwell.

Then there is this and Mary Ann hardly has an average maiden name. I think your search needs to be in Oz

I think those deaths are quite likely, as it is in the right area covering Southwark where they were last found in 1911 & the ages tie up, but the only way to be sure would be to get death certificates.

Also, looking at the 1911 census he was the only John in the London area of the right age range.

Hi Mac To be honest I'm not sure, possible because he was in his forties and still living with his mother, he may not have, I certainly can't find anything more about him after the 1911 census, and I don't know where he was in the 1901 census, I guess I will have to leave him with question unanswered.

What makes you think he ever actually got married?

Hi Mac I know I have gone backwards and forwards trying to find him even names where there could have been mistaken spelling and I just can't find him. I then tried looking for a very late marriage after 1911 could only see 1 which may be worth following, also tried to see when his mother may have died to give me a time line to work on, but there are to many Mary Ann's to know which would be the right one, he has to be there somewhere you would think

He is still with his mother on the 1891 census at the same address as in 1881, but I can't find either of them in 1901.

Hi Everyone The 1881 census family with parents John and Mary are the correct family for John born 1866, but as I say he seems to have disappeared in the 1891-1901 census, to reamirge in the 1911 living with his mother. Sorry for the late delay in answering had to feed the family

Is this your family in 1881? - if so they were at the same address in 1891, Mary now a widow, John a print cutter, also there William & Alfred. I thinks this could be the same family Lindsey posted in 1911.
